Pflugerville-downtown

Pflugerville (pronounced “Flugerville”), located north of Austin, has almost melded into the capital city.

This community is named for German immigrant Henry Pfluger and was established in the 1870s. Now, the town is one of the fastest growing cities in the state. Despite the urbanization around the edges of Pflugerville, you’ll still find it retains its small-town character in a historic downtown. In fact, Pflugerville’s charm has made it a location for several Hollywood movies including The Newton Boys, A Perfect World and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?
